I'm organizing Hacktoberfest for the local dev community. It's happening in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and people here aren't open-sourcing their code at a large scale. So I'm looking for ideas to make Hacktoberfest appealing, as well as educational.

From the Hacktoberfests you attended, can you give me fun ideas to try out? 😋
