Imagine being told in 2021, before we all had access to AI, that your company had extra developers so you're being forced to do all your coding in pair programming.

But isn't this what all the AI pair programming solutions are promoting??

You write a line, AI writes another few lines, you have to review and adjust to continue. We're becoming dependent and it feels restrictive.

Collaborating with AI is not the same as pair programming. You should be able to delegate a task to AI, like you delegate to another team member. It should be asynchronous. It should empower, not restrict.
