This is a submission for the Coze AI Bot Challenge: Bot Innovator.
What I Built
WITL (What Is this Link) is an AI chatbot that scans URLs, providing a detailed security analysis and overview of their destinations. It offers insights on safety to prevent you from opening harmful links accidentally. Additionally, it assists in reading and summarizing lengthy webpages and PDF files. You can also ask it questions about the content of these documents, and it will provide relevant answers.
Inspiration
As someone cautious about clicking on links or opening webpages without certainty of their safety, I sought a solution to assess URLs without direct access. I once asked ChatGPT to scan a link for me, but it couldn't. When this challenge arose, I saw an opportunity to create a bot for URL scanning and destination preview, sparing me the need to click links. Additionally, I needed a way to quickly digest lengthy web pages and PDFs, often filled with irrelevant information. With WITL, I can input a link and receive a summary, along with the ability to query if that resource contains the specific content I'm in search of, saving me lots of time and effort. With WITL, you have the ability to do all that which is pretty great.

Journey
Embarking on this challenge was quite the ride—I created my very first AI chatbot! I kicked things off by jotting down what I wanted my bot to do and plugged it into the persona prompt field in the create bot section of the Coze platform. Then, I added the necessary plugins, ran some tests to ensure it behaved as expected, and tweaked its persona prompt along the way. Eventually, I got it to work just the way I imagined, which was awesome. Coze's bot creator has a super simple interface, making the whole process a breeze.
I hope you enjoy making use of WITL🤗. Feedback is highly welcome.
