That is, allow users to CRUD; and definitely have security implications.

But BaaS like Firebase or MongoDB Stitch are definitely more strict at security than me, that's why I failed at the new branch. (Also, MongoDB Stitch isn't very friendly with Firebase; I have chatted with MongoDB staff.)
