(Possible) corrupted OS in Hetzner Cloud Server

Hi People,

Who has experienced or could help with the following issues:

Our platform is down - the Hetzner cloud server crashed and we couldn’t access the terminal to bring it back online.

We successfully completed the rescue procedure and could access the mongo db database folder by mounting the server disk. However, that didn’t solve everything.

We could retrieve the mongodb data from the data/db folder and attempted to mount it in a new mongo instance and we could access the database, collections, but there were no documents. You see something like this:

show dbs
admin 0.000GB
config 0.000GB
local 0.000GB
platformName 0.000GB

We also tried using an old backup but still same issue as 1. above.

Could anyone help with information on how to rerun the application with a new image using the data from the rescue folder?

The most important data for us is the data from the Mongo db, so we can run the application on a new infrastructure.

We suspect the problem is from a corrupted OS files and we are hoping we can get rid of the files that are preventing the boot and then access the running mongo instance.

Any help, contributions or suggestions would be highly appreciated.
