Must Have Tools For Every Developer

These are some must-have tools for every developer.

Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code is a source-code editor made by Microsoft for Windows, Linux and macOS. Features include support for debugging, syntax highlighting, intelligent code completion, snippets, code refactoring, and embedded Git.

Git

Git is software for tracking changes in any set of files, usually used for coordinating work among programmers collaboratively developing source code during software development. Its goals include speed, data integrity, and support for distributed, non-linear workflows.

GitHub

GitHub is a provider of Internet hosting for software development and version control using Git. It offers the distributed version control and source code management (SCM) functionality of Git, plus its features. It provides access control and several collaboration features such as bug tracking, feature requests, task management, continuous integration and wikis for every project.

Trello

Trello is the ultimate project management tool. Startup aboard in seconds, automate tedious tasks, and collaborate anywhere, even on mobile.

Notion

The notion is an application that provides components such as notes, databases, kanban boards, wikis, calendars and reminders. Users can connect these components to create their systems for knowledge management, note-taking, data management, project management, among others.

Slack

Slack is a new way to communicate with your team. It's faster, better organized, and more secure than email. Slack is a proprietary business communication platform developed by American software company Slack Technologies and owned by Salesforce from 2021. Slack offers many IRC-style features, including persistent chat rooms organized by topic, private groups, and direct messaging.

Postman

Postman is an API platform for building and using APIs. Postman simplifies each step of the API lifecycle and streamlines collaboration so you can create better APIs—faster.

Sizzy

The browser for developers, stop wasting time and speed up your development workflow. Designing responsively is a challenge. Every change must look beautiful in many views at the same time. Practically, this means re-scaling a browser window or using something like Safari’s excellent Responsive Design Mode. But when I switch devices for the fifth time in as many minutes, it’s getting tiresome.

Then it's where Sizzy comes in handy. A browser where they’ve added all the features you need as a website developer.
