This week was primarily focused on building a solid foundation in generative AI, with most of my time spent on research and learning. I explored various online resources to understand the basics of generative AI, including its underlying technologies, practical applications, and ethical considerations. This research was essential in helping me grasp how generative AI can be leveraged in the Elderly Care System project.

Towards the end of the week, I moved from theory to practice by experimenting with simple generative AI tools. While I didn’t work with Whisper or any advanced models yet, these initial experiments were crucial in helping me understand the practical aspects of generative AI. I learned how to manipulate prompts and settings to improve the quality of the generated content, which will be valuable when I start working with more complex models in the coming weeks.
