Transform Your Server into a High-Security Fortress with SafeLine WAF

It's no secret that websites are frequent targets for hackers, making data security a major concern for site owners. Today, I want to introduce a powerful tool that can instantly turn your server into a high-security shield—SafeLine WAF. The best part? The community edition is completely free to use.

The Defense Power of SafeLine WAF

SafeLine WAF comes with built-in dynamic protection. Unlike traditional firewalls, SafeLine is a pioneer in using a semantic analysis algorithm that goes beyond the limitations of rule-based algorithms. It boasts precise detection, low false positives, and is tough to bypass. Plus, it offers one-click installation and is ready to use out of the box. It can even defend against 0-day attacks—and did I mention it's free?

Here’s a snapshot of the defense in action. The entire dashboard provides a clear overview at a glance.

Once installed, SafeLine WAF doesn’t require much configuration. It’s designed for automatic defense—you just need to set up the protection domain. It’s truly plug-and-play with an extremely low false positive rate. Check out the image below to see it in action.

How to Use SafeLine WAF

For the best results, it's recommended to install SafeLine WAF on a dedicated server that doesn’t run any other services. By doing this, all incoming attacks and traffic will first pass through SafeLine WAF before reaching your main website server.

Using CDN with SafeLine WAF

Here’s a simple flowchart to explain how to use CDN with SafeLine WAF.

In short, you’ll point your website’s domain to the CDN, set the CDN’s origin IP to the IP of the server where SafeLine WAF is installed, and then add your site in SafeLine WAF. Configure the protection domain as your website’s domain, and set the upstream server IP to your website server’s IP.

And that’s it—you’ve now configured your server to be equivalent to a high-security server. When hackers try to attack, they won’t directly hit your website server because all incoming traffic is first filtered through SafeLine WAF. As long as your SafeLine WAF server has enough CPU power and bandwidth, it essentially acts as a high-bandwidth, high-security CDN node.
