Do you know that the selection of displayed apps in the App Store varies depending on your App Store region? And it can cause a bit of inconvenience when we try to search for some apps only to find it has been banned or removed from our App Store due to various reasons. Recently I found that VPN Proxy Master, an app I often use, was removed from the Russian App Store, which prevented me from updating to the latest version. Luckily, I found a way to update it, which is changing our App Store region. Changing the app store region can help us download apps that are not available in our area.

There are two simple methods you can take into account:

1. Change your current account region
2. Create a new account in a different region

Change Your Current Account Region

Bear in mind that before you change the App Store region, you should do some "cleaning" work first.

1. If you have remaining store credit or Apple ID balance, you need to spend it before changing your App Store Region.
2. You should cancel your active subscriptions before changing the region. _Having a balance can prevent you from successfully changing your store region. Active subscriptions can charge you automatically for the next period if you don't cancel them. _

Check Your App Store balance on your iPhone

1. Open "App Store"
2. Click your current "Apple ID" at the top bar on iPhone.
3. See if you have a balance, you can skip the following to change your account region directly if your balance is empty.

1. Empty your balance(if you balance to too low to make a purchase, resolve to Apple Customer Service)

*Cancel active subscriptions on your iPhone *

1. Find "Settings" on your iPhone.
2. Click your "Apple ID" on the top bar.
3. Click"Subscriptions".
4. Cancel your active subscriptions if you have any.

Change your current account region on the iPhone
After you successfully check your subscriptions and balance, we can start to change our account region.

1. Open "App Store" and click your current "Apple ID" at the top right corner
2. Click your current "Apple ID" again in this page

1. Tap "Country/Region", and choose a new region where your desired VPN apps are available.

4.Agree the terms and conditions.

5.Choose a payment option (Pick "None" if you're not established with financial services in the region you've chosen. This will still let you download free VPN apps like Turbo VPN without any issues.)

1. Fill in the necessary payment information and the billing address for your new region. Note: Any valid address in the selected country, complete with a correct postal code, will be alright. You can easily find an address online, such as a local McDonald's, and use that for your information.
2. Click "Next".

And you're good to go. By finishing the above steps, you have successfully changed your current account region. You can see in your App Store that the region has been altered as well.

Create a New Account in Another Region

By creating a new account of a different region, and then linking the new one to your App Store, you should be able to access that region's version of the App Store.

First, create a new account

1. Open the Apple official website using your iPhone or browser.
2. Fill in the information required

1. Click "Continue"
2. A new account has been successfully created.

Link the New Account to App Store on iPhone

1. Go to your "Settings"
2. Click on your Apple ID

3.Click "Media & Purchase" and then sign out your account

4.Click "Media & Purchase" again, and click "Not xxx"

5.Use your new account to sign in

This method allows you to access a different region of the App Store while your original Apple ID still remains logged in your iPhone.
