OSPF vs. RIP: A Comparison of Interior Gateway Protocols

This is a submission for DEV Computer Science Challenge v24.06.12: One Byte Explainer.

Explainer

OSPF and RIP are different roads:

  • OSPF is a well-planned city highway, managing traffic capably with clear signs and fast adjustments.
  • RIP is a simpler, slower rural road network, with fewer signs, suited for smaller towns with fewer routes to manage.
