Move the Minimize, Maximize and Close buttons to the left in Ubuntu
  1. Open a terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T.
  2. Open a terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T.
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout 'close,minimize,maximize:'

Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

If you want to revert the changes and move the buttons back to the right, you can use the following command:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout 'appmenu:minimize,maximize,close'

Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode
