Week 1 Summary

This past week, I did 6 tasks.

  1. WindVFX - I created a wind effect for the fan, wasp, and super unit. However, I need to change it so that instead of spawning sprites as particles, it will just be trails to look like a gust of wind
  2. BumpVFX - I created a cloud of smoke to come out under the bump of the bumper unit. This way it seems like a spring effect when an enemy unit interacts with the bumper.
  3. HoneyDripVFX - I had a honey effect already for units affected by the bees honey. Now, the honey drip will take that same affect and make the bee look like there is honey dripping down it onto its enemies.
  4. PieExplosionVFX - To be used for the bombardier beetle, suicide fly, and the cracker unit. It is a bunch of multicolored particles flying in random directions from the unit when it explodes while holding a pie.
  5. DustCloudVFX - This is used when certain units move around, are pushed, or when lines are being drawn to place units.
  6. EatingVFX - A VFX that looks like the eating animation in Minecraft. Small particles that are blackish brown fly out of the termite and corgis mouth when they eat. Very small but noticeable to the player to show that these units are performing a certain action.

Overall, I did all of the tasks assigned to me. However, I was unable to complete the wind effect but will end up finishing it week 3 because it is very closely related to a task I have coming up.
