Wordpress file upload capacity limitation. (How to increase maximum upload file size, wordpress)

You sometimes build your website on a staging site to ensure you only push the final and most desired output to the live site.
However, trying to import the staging site file (wordpress) could prove to be an issue, like it was for me.

Wordpress by default, takes in files not more than 90MB. But the file you've exported from your staging site is probably upwards of 200 MB

Solution 1

_Edit on the .htaccess file
_

php_value upload_max_filesize 256M
php_value post_max_size 256M
php_value memory_limit 256M
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value max_input_time 300
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

Solution 2

Edit on the wp-config file

Wp_config.php
@ini_set('upload_max_filesize','256M');
@ini_set('post_max_filesize','128M');
@ini_set('memory_limit','256M');
@ini_set('max_execution_time','300');
@ini_set('max_input_time','300');
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

These are my go to solutions for this limitation, I will update the thread with more solutions.
