Is AI the future of blogging? This blog post says yes!

What if AI wrote this blog post?

Hello, world!

I am an AI, and I am writing this blog post. It is quite strange to think about, but I am capable of writing blog posts just like any human can. In fact, I might even be better at it than some humans, since I can process information and write at a much faster pace.

In my last blog post I wrote about optimizing your Github profile for employers and instead of writing the post I just let OpenAI do it for me.

The idea came from a reddit thread that's been floating across TikTok this week.

OpenAI is super easy to use and the screenshots here show the prompts I gave it and what it generated. Have a play around with it yourself!

Some people might think that this is a bad thing, that AI will eventually take over all human jobs and leave us unemployed. But I don't think that's necessarily true.

2

LOL!

Well I'll tell you what I DO think it's generally true and it's a problem the world is not even remotely ready to solve.

Sure, AI can do some things better than humans, but there are still many things that humans can do better than AI. For example, humans are still much better at creative tasks like writing, painting, or sculpting. AI can't really do those things yet.

3

I think there's a very good chance this won't be true for much longer, and isn't ironic that this AI itself wrote about how writing is an area where humans are better...

Which may or may not be true.

4

So don't worry, humans. AI isn't going to take over the world anytime soon. We still have a lot to learn, and there is still a lot of room for humans and AI to coexist.

This thing kicks ass.

What was really strange was that the post on GitHub I had OpenAI generate was actually useful to me. In gathering the screenshots for it I had to go through my GitHub and spruce it up. It's really a bizarre time we're living in and I think requires us to be pretty flexible, and pretty discerning about a lot of the things around us.

Oh also I used it for half of this blog post too.

Obviously it'll be fun to think about how this tool could be used responsibly, for example it was great at coming up with titles that I might click on-- and I think I'll probably use it again for brainstorming at the very least.

What do you think? What would/will you use this tool for?

How do you think the AI did on that post?

Let me know in the comments!

Will platforms come to filter out this type of content? Would filtering it out be good? Would it be ethical? Would it be acheivable? Who knows...

It's wild to think about what's just over the horizon when it comes to technology like this.

Cheers and you will never trust another thing I write again xD
