We’re back with another brand new episode of DevDiscuss, the podcast where we talk about the burning topics in tech that impact all of our lives as developers! This week, we do a deep dive into the value of CSS and all the ways in which it’s a goldmine just waiting to be tapped!
@ben and I were joined by two guests for this episode. Ananya Neogi is currently a UX developer at Shopify but has been working in the full spectrum of web development (from the front to back end) for nearly four years. Hui Jing Chen is also a UX developer at Shopify where they focus on Shopify's brochure sites. They have broad experience across tech but have been drawn to the front end throughout their career. Together, Ananya and Hui Jing know a lot about CSS and all the awesome things you can do with it.
In this episode, Ben, Anaya, Hui Jing, and I discuss
- Lesser-known CSS properties and tricks to explore
- Our opinions on the practical reasons for shipping features in CSS
- How CSS has changed over the course of our guests’ careers
