The Cloud Skills show is a livestream brought to you by the Microsoft Developer Relations team in the UK. Each week the team will bring guests from the around the world to talk about technical skills. We will cover the latest Microsoft Cloud news and announcements and introduce guests from communities across the tech ecosystem.
In this episode, we’re covering the Internet of Things (IoT). How can IoT change the world around us for the better? What are tech communities doing to build the makers of the future?
In the show we met:
Pete Gallagher is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, MVP and Pluralsight Author. He specialises in IoT and is an active community organiser being involved in 4 meetups, a weekly Twitch Stream and a Podcast.
Pamela Cortez is an IoT Developer Advocate and runs IoT developer community outreach for Microsoft Azure loT. Her specialities are IoT, maker community, developer advocacy, electrical engineering, STEAM, hackathons, workshops, security, programming, and outreach.
Paul DeCarlo is a Sr. Cloud Developer Advocate for Microsoft and Professor for the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. His current technology interests focus on Internet of Things, Cloud Applications, and App Development.
Amy Boyd is a Senior Cloud Advocate at Microsoft, working on the Scalable Content team. Amy is responsible for building AI content for Microsoft Events around the world.
Clifford Agius is an Airline Pilot for a Major UK Airline flying Boeing 787s around the world. When not on the Flight Deck you can find him huddled over a laptop working on a DotNet, Xamarin or IOT project. Microsoft MVP and International Speaker.
Adam Jackson is a Program Manager at Microsoft Developer Relations, responsible for working with communities in the UK and Europe, as well as producing the Cloud Skills show, amongst other projects.
Avye & Helene from Girls into Coding - a fantastic non-profit organisation helping Girls aged 10-14 years learn more about the Internet of Things and be inspired to learn how to code.
