In the field of geographic information systems (GIS), the processing, transmission and display of terrain data have always been technical challenges. With the development of big data and cloud computing technology, GISBox, as a one-stop 3D GIS data editing, conversion and publishing platform, provides users with efficient and convenient solutions with its powerful terrain distribution function.
GISBox supports the editing and conversion of multiple GIS formats, including OSGB, GEOTIFF, RVT, etc., and can convert them into 3DTiles, Terrain and other formats for publishing. The platform not only has powerful data processing capabilities, but also has a simple and clear user interface, so that even first-time users can quickly get started.
Terrain slicing is one of the core functions of GISBox. This technology achieves efficient transmission, rendering and display by dividing large terrain data sets into smaller blocks (slices).
Using GISBox for terrain distribution, the overall process is divided into two modules: slicing and distribution. In the slicing module, users can select the terrain data files to be converted and set the export path and slicing parameters. After slicing is completed, users can choose to publish them as services at the same time, or manually add slice data in the distribution module and generate services. Regardless of the method, GISBox provides a simple and clear operation interface, allowing users to easily complete terrain distribution tasks.
When slicing the terrain, you can publish it as a service at the same time, as shown in the figure below:
Click "General Terrain" in the distribution on the left, and you can see the automatically generated terrain service, as shown in the figure below:
Click the "Folder" button in the file path to view the local file path of the terrain service, as shown in the figure below:
Click the "View" button to open and view the terrain service in the browser, as shown in the figure below:
The model service opened in the browser is shown in the figure below:
As a one-stop 3D GIS data editing, conversion and publishing platform, GISBox provides users with efficient and convenient solutions with its powerful terrain slicing and distribution functions. Whether it is a professional GIS practitioner or an ordinary user, GISBox can easily process, transmit and display terrain data. With the continuous development of technology, GISBox will play an increasingly important role in the GIS field.
