Cuckoo rice cookers are smart but you might have a struggle at the first few uses. This article prevents your rice cooker from outsmarting you.
Listen to the instructions
If you don’t want to read the whole manual, well, at least to the lady’s voice. She knows best, even when she wants you to drain the water.
Be in the right mode
This is the most common mistake that can upset you because she just won’t start cooking. Turn the knob to the left if you want to use pressure modes or to the right to choose non-pressure modes.
She has a good memory. The preset mode is the last mode you used on each side.
After choosing a mode, press the top right button if you chose pressure mode and the middle right button if you chose non-pressure mode.
Recommended mode
On the non-pressure side of life, there is a preset cooking option where you can set the cooking time at the mode-set button to warm your food or boil x-minute eggs.
Let her wake you up and cook your breakfast
The rice cooker has a function where you can preset the time to start, originally for soaking rice or grains before cooking. You can put your food in to be cooked before bedtime and wake up to her voice telling you breakfast is ready.
Happy rice cooking
